Help Phone forces into roaming all the time, barely have any connection.

Well when I had my LG Lucid, I had signal, everywhere. I checked the Verizon Maps, I have a full 4g LTE, Verizon's towers. But since I got my Bionic, I've been forced into roaming mode (Flashing Grey Triangle), so now I have barely and signal, and when I do, I can't use data or call. I can only text.

How do I know if I'm forced into roaming? Whenever the connection establishes, there's always that Grey Triangle.

If anyone has any idea whats going on, Help would be appreciated.

Did you try a soft reset (hold down volume down/volume up/power until a menu appears and then disappears)?

Did you check that the SIM and SD-ext cards are firmly and squarely seated?

Did you try a new SIM card?

Yes, yes, and I'm going to the Verizon Corporate store tomorrow to see whats going on..

When I first got my Bionic, it did the same thing. On the phone w tech Support for almost 2 hours screwing around with just about everything you can think of.

No resolution. So I am fuming at my new high speed phone that says "no signal". Just for S+G's, I turn on the wi fi so I can connect to facebook to complain to the masses.

As soon as the bionic found the wi fi, my roaming went away. I turned off the wi fi, and boom. Blue bars.

I have no idea why that happen or fix that. But it did... I only wish it helped with the 4g data issue! Lol

4G data is all but fixed in the ICS leaks. I had the best results on 3G with .901 and .902. >904 leak came out and I thought it was good, but then my area got 4G and it went to pot. .905 official came out and it was barely better than .904 on 4G.

I installed the second ICS leak, .2233, and poof, most of my ICS problems went away. I got to .232 and I had very few problems, but when .235 dropped and I installed it, I have had 99%+ uptime on my 4G, with true 4G data speeds.

However, .232 is the last ICS leak that you can FXZ back to .905 with, so that is what we recommend most users to install. I'm currently on .244 and loving my 4G.

I'm kind of hoping the OTA to ICS will happen tomorrow, them I can just thaw what I have frozen, upgrade to the ICS and be a happy camper. :-)
