phone freezing

My captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!

I just got my Captivate today and in less than a few hours of use it began freezing up, several times.....very aggravating! Not at all what I would expect from this caliber of phone. I ordered it online so I will prob have to return it via mail to get a replacement, so I'll wait and see how bad it is.
