Phone get's hot playing games

Played Angry Birds for maybe an hour, the phone felt hot. Not like boiling, just hotter than usual.

Is that normal for phones in general? Could it damage the CPU playing it that long with the phone heating up a bit?

I have the Incredible S, if that makes any difference, although I don't think it would if it's the same for all phones.

Having the screen on for extended periods will make the phone hot, especially if there was a rather heavy process running like a game. Also Androids have thermometers that measure temp if its too much and gives warning.

You can download battery monitors that measure the battery temperature. If the temp goes over 45C, then I'd be worried, but otherwise you should be OK.
