Help Phone goes into HOLD by itself

anishuq

Lurker
Hi,
My mobile phone's configuration is:
Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570
Android Version 2.3.4
Baseband Version S5570XWKQ5
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-perf-CL561937
root@DELL145#1

Build number:GINGERBREAD.XWKQG

The problem is: while I am talking on the phone, it sometimes goes into HOLD automatically. Then I have to press UNHOLD to start talking again.
Am I holding the phone wrong?

I had accidentally dropped the phone couple of weeks ago from my pocket.
Have I damaged it somehow? Because everything else seem to work fine.

Bye.

You got that right . :D
The hold button is on the upper left corner .
If you are left handed or use phone in left hand then you may put in on hold by mistake .
Probably check it (position of fingers) when you take a call nextime

:D :)

A friend of mine had this problem too, it turned out he had set the screen to stay on. Once the proximity sensor was turned on it stopped him pressing hold with his ear.Settings>call settings>additional settings>turn on proximity sensor (check it), mine is 2.3.6
