phone going slow

Hello all

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to speed up my phone, other than rooting? The phone is lagging in various ways such as loading some apps, when I'm messaging someone and it takes quite a bit to scroll through my gallery photos.

Any help would be appreciated.

When does it usually lag the most for you? Like when you hit your home button, or when opening an app, etc. It's possible it could be coming from the Sense interface. Try installing and using a different launcher instead of Sense. Three that I can think of off the top of my head are ADWLauncher, Zeam, and LauncherPro. My personal favorite is Zeam, but you should be able to try the free versions of the other two as well. I don't if that will fix your problems, but before I rooted and installed a different ROM, I was using Zeam and didn't really have much lag on my phone.
