Phone help advice

Ok so i am lost between 2 phones the htc sensation and the samsung galaxy S II , both are great phones i don't really mind having any of them but my problem is i live in Asia , a country called Sri Lanka , anyways my question is if i get the galaxy s II or the htc sensation will they work in my country? ive heard that both of the phones maybe sim card phones ,thats a good sign for me but then again i heard both of the phones released in the USA will have cdma. I can only probably get this phone from the USA cause my dad lives there and his coming here in july so he can buy either phone and give it to me , but the problem is will these 2 phones support sim card available networks here?

I think that you will probably have to contact HTC and Samsung about this question. I'm not sure if any American phone company themselves would have your answer.

Buy the phones from the manufacturer...more expensive but they can get you something that'll work for you

Can't you just buy it from Sri Lanka? Or a nearby country like Singapore or Malaysia?
