Help Phone is being really slow

Hey, I got my optimus slider about two months ago and up until now its been a great phone, but lately its been lagging alot; lagging even more than my intercept. What happens is when I go to check my phone or use it, once I hit the power button, the phone becomes very slow and unresponsive (this happens with pins, patterns, or no passcode settings). This continues for around 5 seconds to a minute and then my phone is fine again, everything is responsive. I don't know what else to try, I got rid of many programs and stopped running everything possible, the only things I have running are core apps and swype.

You have an app conflict, remember all apps are developed to work with the OS, not with each other, try a factory reset and only put back the apps you have to have

Consider rooting your device, and move most of your internal apps to SD.. The more less space your phone has, the more lag it gets. Also, install cache mate or app cache.. These will clear up all of your caches thus making your phone a bit faster. Another app I like is "fast reboot," basically with just one click of a button the app frees up the phone memory and making your phone a bit faster.. Another way to free up spaces is to go to setting managing application and look at all of your application. Most application will save data and cache, and I recommend to clear your data if you don't really need it anymore. That's some I can think of..
