Help Phone is getting on my last nerve...help pls?!

Ok for the past week my phone has been having SOOOOOOOO many problems!! Idk what on earth is wrong with it. It is very slow, only holds a charge for an hour or two with normal usage, gets VERY hot while charging, and randomly shuts itself off. I have not installed any new apps that could be causing this to happen. So I have no idea what is going on. I have only had the phone for about a month...it shouldn't be doing this. Also videos are very choppy? and lag a lot. I called verizon and they want to send me a refurb...I just payed $200 for this phone a short while ago, I dont want it replaced with an already used phone...any ideas or suggestions?

Sometimes refurbs work better then new ones. Before sending it off (if u do) do a complete hard reset on the phone. Just make sure u back up all your important data.

I would favor changing one used phone that doesn't work for one that does any day. The Verizon Certified Pre Owned Revo I just got is immaculate. The only proof it was not new is a little sticker inside the battery compartment, and the box it came in.

Have you tried a factory reset. I would think this would rule out any hardware problems.

I work for big red, and we have found that with the 4g phones, in our store we always do a hard reset after the initial programming steps. It's annoying to log into the gmail account all over again and all, but that extra 5-10 minutes has made a big difference in performance. I don't know why this happens, but i did it on my Revo cause I forgot initially and it helped overall performance. I have a CPO unit and have no problems.
