Root phone is lagging

My esteem has been lagging abit over these Few days...Ive fixed permissions and after awhile that i do its fine but then it gets slow again. Can anybody tell me what to do? I have the #2 rom2.5
 
Sounds like you have too many apps installed which is either; running as a service (install autorun manager to stop them from running all together) or you are taking up to much free space.

You can install an app called disk usage which will show you what folders and/or apps are taking a huge amount of space. Lastly you could do what is detrimental to your phone and install a task killer like system panel and either use the end all widget or just hit end all in the app.

Thank you! I have FMR Memory installed and Killer app but aparently all the apps that restart are the ones that makes the phone function and FB oh and the launcher that I have..maybe its my launcher thats making this way. I dont want to get rid of it since I love it.hmm :(
 
Try Launcher Pro or Holo launcher both very nice but Holo is more memory intensive but has folders and other goodies.

spb is a resource hog. I used it on my old Omnia2 and is was great, just ate up resources like a siv. Just for poops and ha ha's, try a different launcher for a few days and see what happens. I've also noticed that if your sdcards have a lot of stuff on them that can cause some lag over time too.
 
How much ram does your phone normally use?
Are you under clocked?
Have you changed the governer?
If yes to the last 2 questions which app are you using to do those?
Do you have more than 1 app that can change the CPU frequency and and the governor?.
 
when i had the SPB launcher i had very little ram not even 3 digit ram so i switched to the stock launcher (launcher pro) and I have way lots of ram but the battery really sucks! I mean I cleared Facebook and am now on friendscaster and still it drains fast. the cpu and demandar i dont even mess with. the way i installed #2 2.5 I have left it the way it is. my cpu is 1024 MHZ max slider and 245 min slider I/O cfq and governor is ondemand
