Maybe the phone doesn't read iris'es?

Wearing glasses, too far away, not enough light?
Is it trying to read a glass eye?
it's simple.
read the manual. it will explain to the letter how to set up the phone.
if you feel the phone does not respond as the instructions state, contact samsung and get tech support involved, or return the device.

The surrounding lighting can cause this issue. O had to leave the store to get it to work. Extreme sunlight causes this issue also
