Help Phone is over heating ....

This has happened three times. Every time when in my car connected to a car charger.

I get the message that charging has stopped due to temperature.

This has happened with a cheep charger and good ones. With chargers rated at 2 amp., 1 amp, and 800 mamp.

The phone feels HOT. Not just warm. This has never happened on a ac home charger. At home I have 3 chargers. 800 mamp, 1 amp, and 2 amp. I use the 2 amp most of the time.

When this happens it is always in the car. Gets so hot it effects the display. It has happened during day time and night time.

Last time I was using Google Navigator with the gps on. Battery was at about 60%. And as before I was in my car.

I have tried running Navigator with GPS on and connected to the home charger in the house, but it ran and charged fine.

Any ideas?

As always thank you.

First off are you rooted and overclocked? I have never had any good luck with car chargers myself. I have a power inverter in my work van and use a house charger and don't have the overheating problem.

I've mounted my phone above the car dashboard's air vents :)

My experiece with several phones is, while driving, a powerful navigation heats up the phone even without charging, and charging just adds heat to phone.
So I think the car charger isn't the culprit.

Running Navigation without driving around doesn't simulate the real situation.
Quality car chargers should have the same electrical supply quality as wall chargers.
