Phone is redirecting my calls to Los Angeles!

I bought a certified refurbished Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Verizon "unlocked" from Amazon a couple of months ago and when I got it, it looked brand new. It functioned very well until I started trying to make calls from my contacts or return calls from "recent calls". Oddly enough, when I try to do that the phone redirects the call to a Los Angeles California and says the "SIM' is doing it. Of course, I put my own SIM in the phone when I got it and it worked well. The only way I can make a call is to dial the number from my keypad. HELP! Thanks

P.S. 15+ hours later - Reports that this forum will provide a timely response have been greatly exaggerated...:)

Have you checked the contacts and made sure the #'s are correct? It only happens when you use contacts and recent calls? It could be a routing issue of some kind and that would have to be handled thru your carrier! If it's a syncing issue with your contacts then something on the phone is causing that!

You're welcome! It could be the Sim but they will have some ts steps they will go thru with you! When you call make sure you aren't on your phone so they can ts!
