Help Phone just turns off

Hello,
4 times now my hydro life will just shut off. Everytime was when I was ending a call. As I take the phone away from my ear to hit End Call it shuts off. Will not turn back on until I remove the battery and put it back. Anybody have any idea's? Phones is rooted, some apps frozen but haven't made any changes in the last couple of months.

Mine will just restart randomly whether I'm doing something or its just in my pocket, but it turns back on. Idk if our problems are related, but they're similar

If i try to change my volume my launcher (nova and apex) will stop responding then restart. Is the volume issue just me??
