Help Phone keeps restarting itself

I've had my htc Desire for a few months now and it's been fine but in the past few weeks it has started turning itself on and off. It first happened when my son was playing Angry birds so I thought it was something he did. I uninstalled Angry birds in the end.
Yesterday I installed a new game (Slice it) and the same thing happened. It doesn't happen straight away but only after a few minutes of playing the game.
The phone seems ok without the games (although Alchemy and Coloroid work ok). Any idea what it could be? Am I condemned to remain games free

Its an over heating issue, quite a few of us have had it.

The only fix is to send it back to HTC for a repair.
