phone locked

[Android Question]

Please note that my Gmail ID & Password is known to me. I could able to open the Gmail account also on PC. But same Gmail ID & Password is not able to open my locked phone. I don't want to reset my phone instead want to unlock the same.

is there any way to retain my phone data?

If you have already set up Android Device Manager, then you can override the password of your device from a desktop browser

1. Open Android Device Manager in a desktop browser
2. Click on Lock button
3. Type the new password, confirm it, and save the process
4. Your device is locked immediately (immediately after it gets internet connection) with the new password and you need to reset this password after your device is found.
