My S3 (Verizon) keeps turning off the cell radio. I get the circle with a line through it where the bars should be. Easy enough to fix by turning airplane mode on and then off, if I notice it. What is turning off the cell radio? The area where I work is a no service area, is it possible the S3 tries to get service for a time and then turns off the radio to avoid running down the battery? Is there a setting for this? Thanks all.

I've had the same problem a few times but don't know the answer to your question. Any preventative solutions would be nice.
