Help Phone low on storage

messy-h

Lurker
This is really starting to annoy me.. Every time I install a new app, I get the your phone is low on storage message. I have moved every app that allows me to move it to SD, to SD. But I've noticed that apps like Facebook, Twitter etc are using outrageous amounts of storage... and the big one is "Contacts Storage". My question is what would I lose if I cleared the data on these apps, as I thought all my contacts were just stored online via Google contacts (the main reason I use Android).

Also I have loads of "duplicate" apps like, Facebook for HTC Sense as well as Facebook. If I was to clear the data from Facebook for HTC Sense what would happen, as I only use the Facebook app for FB stuff...

After clearing data, the next time those apps sync, the contacts will reappear on your device, as they are intended to do.

If you want to reduce storage permanently, one option is to root your device and rid yourself of stock syncing apps such as Facebook, and just use Facebook (Twitter, etc) with your device's web browser.

But I do quite appreciate how everything syncs up, photos etc.. So I cant get rid of these duplicate apps and keep the syncing? Makes sense I suppose... booooo!
