Help Phone memory... disappeared!

Newbie
One minute I had a good 19.00+mb of free space on my phone, then the next minute (without installing anything)... GONE! Only 1.84mb left! @#$%!!

I thought it might be the SMS (BTW where does Handcent store those?) but after deleting all of them, still no dice. Could HelixLauncher be the culprit? Any idea what caused this and more importantly... how to get my memory back? TIA.

No worries. Android, just like Linux, handle memory just fine by it self. It use whatever it can for caching and the the like and releases it for other uses when needed. Unused memory is wasted memory anyway...

If you desperately want to free memory for some reason you can use a task killer. But you wont achieve much more than the apps you most often use will take longer to start making your phone feel more slugish.
