Phone memory issue.

Kremet

Lurker
I only have 70mb to use on my phone and whenever i update puzzle & dragons it uses about ~25mb of the space on my phone to download updates, the game is already at 50mb on my phone so i won't have enough space to furtherly update the game. Is there any way to force my phone to download updates directly on the SD card instead of my phone, is there any way to move the updates that were installed on my phone onto my sd card?

Part of the game is already on my SD card so apps like app2sd won't work.

I use a HTC Wildfire S with everything being stock.

I would delete any apps you don't need. If you're using up that much space on 8 to 16 gig stock phones then you probably have a lot of useless apps. Anyways, in the mean time I am searching for a solution for you.

Hi Kremet

Im sure some one who is a little more experienced than me will pop along and give a better answer as i am still pretty new to this, But ultimatly the only way that you can irradicate this issue is with root. 'rooting' you phone gives you access to the root files on your phone which then alows you to install custom roms which are compatible with Link2SD, also you will need to partition your SD card with a partitioning tool, Gparted is what i used and it was pretty good and easy to use, there will be a guide on how to do this in the sub forum for your phone. I have a HTC desire and i used revolutionary to root it and get s-off, hope this kind of helps you. And Welcome :)

That sucks, I have no idea why you would get a phone with only 512MB of internal memory. The SD card is only effect when your phone is out of space i believe.
