Phone msg pin question

When I went to listen to a phone msg I got a window that said I did not enter the correct pin. I tried again and got the same box. I thought pin numbers were stored with Verizon, evidently not. How to I set my old pin and the new N3?

Every carrier does it differently. Call Verizon customer support and ask them for assistance.
