Help Phone mutes itself

I had GS8 since Apr. 21st. It is great and all, but i noticed the phone mutes the sound when I am watching youtube before i go to sleep. However, It does not do that while it is connected my car's bluetooth. I googled it and found out the previous galaxy s line ups also have the same problem, but failed to find a solution that works.

I think it got something to do with watching things in a dark room.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I hate to do a warranty exchange and get refurbished device.​

Go to Settings/Advanced Features and check Easy mute . If the slider is set to on you can accidentally mute the phone by putting your hand over the screen. Turn it off

It is off. Either i turned it off when i got the phone or never turned it on. I hate the "smart" features.
