Root Phone not detected on PC after Rooting

I recently rooted my wildfire s following the instructions posted here in the wildfire S forum. Initially I installed CyanogenMod 7 custom rom but later switched back to a stock rom from user

I am not sure but it might be a problem from the partitioning. I suggest you format your SD card and see if that fixes the problem.

If you are using Link2SD, the phone should unmount the main partition of the SD card so the PC can see it, but the Link2SD partition stays mounted so you don't crash the ROM.
I'm guessing it is related to the ROM's functionality. Which one is it?

I am using the m1ndh4x8r stock ROM GB2.3.5. I have tried unmounting but doesn't seem to work.
