Help phone not powering on after factory reset HELP!

A friend of mines phone was stuck on the HTC screen every time she tried to reboot her phone. So we powered it down and brought it back up with the volume button down+power and did a factory reset. The phone came up with the normal screen "verizon loading blah blah" and once that finished and it rebooted it never came back up. Now it doesn't respond to any sort of reboot attempts. have any of you experienced this? The phone was stock and not rooted.

Is the battery charged? I know it is a silly question, but even those are worth asking. We all do silly stuff like forget to put the battery back in before trying to boot, etc ;)

When you push the power button NOTHING happens?

Yes the battery is charged and I also tried with it plugged in. And no NOTHING happens with the power button. perplexing and frustrating.

...perplexing and frustrating.

Indeed.

Does the amber light come on when yopu plug it in to show it is actually charging?

You aren't just pressing and releasing the power button are you? Have you held it down for a few seconds (One one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand, four one thousand, five) then releasing?

My bets currently on paper weight or battery since its the only thing I can't test for anymore. The charging cable is fine as it charges my phone without issue.

Thanks for the help

Do you have anyone near by with a DInc2, Eris, EVO Shift, Touchpro2, myTouch Slide, DesireZ or G2?

Any of their batteries should fit for a quick test.

If you live near Minneapolis, I'd lend you a battery to test.

No I don't think anyone around has those and were in Illinois so that won't work. Phones still under warranty so I think she's just gonna take it in today
