phone not recognising sd card

Hi all
ive searched for this problem but couldnt find it.

just got a x10 today so took my sim and sd card out my old phone(n5800) and put them in to the x10....the sim works fine but the phone wont even recognise the sd card is inserted.

ive formatted it....i also downloaded astro file explorer which finds the sd card but when i go to the storage screen the "mount disc" isnt highlighted so i cannot mount it.

any one any idea what can be causing this?

i might be missing something blatantly obvious right enough.

Bit of a strange one here, if Astro can see the SD Card and you do not have the option to mount the card (which you shouldnt if it is recognised), what exactly is giving you the indication that it is not being recognised?

got it sorted now.....i had formatted the sd card on my laptop but after searching the net for hours i found a guy who said format it on my old phone, id did that and it worked right away.

even although astro could see the card the "mount card" screen on the phone wouldnt highlight to let me mount it kept telling me to insert a card and when i tried to take a picture or download anything the phone kept saying no memory card.

very strange....but working now
