Help phone not turning on

woozyer

Lurker
Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help me.

My phone started rebooting it self recently. So i took out the battery for a few minutes and put it back in and then the phone did not turn on at all. And then when I connected my phone to the charger the amber light would come on but it would stay on when taken off the charger and not go off again.

Sometimes the phone starts up and then after a while the same problem occurs again. And the wired thing is that when I have this issue the computer will not recognise the phone. But when it starts up like it should I can communicate with my phone using ADB and Fastboot.

Anyone had any similar problems? Any solution?

Can you get into hboot or recovery?

Pretty angry with this. Bought my phone 2 months ago, nothing done to it, haven't got too many apps on there and all trusted apps from the Android App Market. Well yesterday i did the norm, i restart my phone sometimes to free up memory and to close unused programs. Phone is continuously looping at the first HTC white screen then goes to the optus screen then turns off, does that on loop. I took out battery, same thing. I did a search to see if phone would have a master reset mode, sure, did that and got to the bootloader. SD checking, no image error upon load up. Heard it's normal, what ever. Then i tried recovery. I get red triangle on phone. Factory Reset does nothing. Clearing Cache, also funnily enough, does nothing.

After a few hours, i thought id put that img.zip file on, doesn't even read it properly, another error. It is on main directory of SD card and I've also formatted the SD card.

At the end of the day, this phone clearly sucks. Why would the software stuff up if I've done nothing to it? Least an iPhone wouldn't do this, had that for 2 years until i lost it.

If there is an answer to this, I'm all ears. And very grateful. But i doubt it, doing a quick search on the net reveals the fact that Incredible-S is a phone with too many problems with it.
