Help Phone Notifications Playing Through Speakers when Headset Plugged In

I am noticing that when I plug my headphones into my phone the notifications are still playing through the phones speaker and through the headset. Is there a way to set it so the notifications including ring tones only play through my headset when plugged in?

I am noticing that when I plug my headphones into my phone the notifications are still playing through the phones speaker and through the headset. Is there a way to set it so the notifications including ring tones only play through my headset when plugged in?

When I have my headphones plugged in I usually just press the volume up once to access the volume menu and turn everything down to vibrate. I have not found a way to keep it headset only so every so often I will turn the notification volume down so its not as noticeable.
