Help Phone Options (power button menu) won't come up sometimes

Occasionally I've noticed that pressing the power button on my phone won't bring up the phone options power menu. Rebooting the phone with an app seems to fix it, but I was curious if anyone else has experienced this problem or knows how to fix it?

You'd have to diagnose it before you can fix it. If it's an intermittent power switch you replace the switch. If it's a bad solder joint, you resolder it.

I don't think it's a software problem, which rebooting would fix, I think it's just that you let the phone sit for a minute, then tried again. But if it's a software problem caused by bad software, reflashing the phone would fix it. If it's a software problem caused by bad memory, it would probably need a new motherboard.

It seems like a software issue to me because rebooting DOES fix the problem, at least for a while. I can't say how often exactly this happens, but it is maybe once a month. Definitely not frequently.

Since it is not a serious issue for me, I would prefer not to flash my phone.

Probably is software issue. Factory reset and restoring from backup should fix it.
