Help Phone or Network Issue

hagar

Newbie
When sending or receiving texts there can be anything up to 4 hours delays. Sometimes I send myself a blank text to 'fire up' the network and get messages to come through. Also have problems with people trying to call and go straight to voicemail when I know I've had a signal. I'm with o2UK

I'm also with O2 UK, and I have never had any of the issues you mentioned.

Texts come through within 2-4 minutes and I have never had calls go straight through to voice mail, unless I have sent them there, i.e. blocking a caller.

Also, where I live, I only get 2 bars, so it is not as though I am in a high coverage area.

I don't think that this is an O2 issue going from my experience. It might be a problem with the phone aerial.

The only thing I can think of to check the phone vs O2, is to get another carriers pay-as-you-go sim for about

I had the same issue and they (O2) were worse than useless. In the end I switched to WCDMA only when at home and seemed to clear the delay. You might wanna restart your phone every now and then as this seems to push any pending messages along

I've been restarting everyday. The first time I did it, it sent a text that was meant to be sent a week earlier. Tried different SMS apps but not much difference.
