Help Phone plays notification tone multiple times when plugging into USB.

Maybe this has been addressed, sorry but I couldn't find the answer.

Every time I plug my phone into a USB port on the computer the phone goes crazy and plays my notification ringer over and over again (just now it did it approximately 7 or 8 times).

What's causing this and is there a way to stop it?

Do I need to install some sort of driver on my PC, or some setting I have to turn off on my phone?

I'm rooted with stock ROM if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Yes this happens to me and i'm sure we are not alone. Will you go onto the motorola owners forum and post this observation under the common issues thread for the triumph? There you will find my post reporting the same. I am positive I know what is causing this. In motorola's infinite wisdom they put a hidden file at the root of the phones directory structure that attempts to inform the PC to install a driver or something. Not only does it cause this behavior but I it also breaks car radios with USB Ports from finding your mp3 content. I think you could delete this file but then you would not be stock anymore and this might break an update push...I reported that motorola got creative and not for the better. Let them know it is a problem for you too... You can either connect your phone before windows boots or just ignore it. Motorola needs to fix our phones.

I think we all have this issue. I have the issue as well but I just click the "Turn USB on" as soon as it comes up so I don't have to hear it play the sound over and over and over.
