Help Phone problems

every time i make a phone call, the whole screen will turn black. My phone call will still go through, but in order to end the phone call, use the dial pad, press speaker, etc. I have to slide the keyboard out (no keys or tapping will get the screen to resume from the black to the normal phone service).

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you fix it or any tips? Is this usual?

P.S. I just restored my phone and this is still happening

press the power button (once, not long-press) -- it toggles the black screen.
