Phone Reception vs other Android Devices

Forgive me if I am not posting this in the correct location.

I am thinking about picking up a Razr MAXX but want to get an idea about the phone reception (not 4g reception). Where I live Verizon is my only choice for a carrier. I currently use a Droid Incredible (have tried multiple Incredibles to make sure it was not a bad phone) but the cell reception is horrible. Previously I have had an LG (non smart phone) and a BlackBerry. Both the LG and the BB had close to full coverage in my area and even when the signal was low I could still make calls and send TXTS. With the Incredible I either get no signal or very low signal in the same areas, it is so bad that I can't even send txts. I honestly love everything about the Incredible except the fact that I can't make calls or send txts around my home.

So to make this long post short I am curious if the Moto Razr Maxx has a better radio than the HTC phones. Also my wife has a Verizon iPhone 4 and and can use her phone with out issue at our home. I personally don't want to have to switch to iPhone but I guess I could if it is the only smart phone that will consistently get a signal at our home area.

Thanks for any advice you may provide.

The RF signal on my maxx is outstanding. In fact quite possibly the best on any phone I've used. I don't see how you would be disappointed with it. I have no 4G here yet, so not sure if that makes any difference.

Bar none, best cellular radios of any phone (smart or stupid) I've ever used.

Remember, Motorola has been in the radio business for a very, VERY long time. A huge section of public safety and industry have relied on Motorola for communications devices for decades before there ever were cellular telphones. Their expertise in that has definitely been used in their cell-phone products.

I live by a highway overpass and all the carries often had bad coverage near my home but with this phone I have always have 3-4 bars...with Att I had 1 or none!

I previously had the Thunderbolt and went to the Maxx. I can say that in my area of El Paso, Texas/Fort Bliss, the signal has improved dramatically. I am stationed on the far East portion of Fort Bliss, and there were times with my Thunderbolt that I either would get no signal at work, 1X for a signal, or even roaming to a Mexico cell phone signal. Since I have moved to the Maxx, I have had a pretty steady 4G signal. There are times that it may cut out, but that is few and far between now. Just my experience.
