Help Phone refreshes and closes apps by itself

Thank you in advance for any help on this matter.

I have an xperia z2 up to date software.

The problem is that apps refresh themselves. Clash of clans will shut out to home screen. The refreshing is like this...

Album of photos will black out for a split second and return to the top let's say I was half way down the pages selecting photos to delete or share, it will flicker to the top and any selection task will be as if I wasn't doing anything to begin with.

YouTube videos will stop playing and at the spot it stops you can resume play by pressing the play arrow but if it had loaded any video from that point forward it will have to reload it after the stop of play.

At the home screen I will see a very quick flash of colours, I've realised that it is the colours of the apps in the position they are in from the app menu. The flash is kind of like a super quick snippe5 of the application menu closing to home screen animation.

This all came about after downloading some apps through feature points and appnana... I'm aware this was super dumb as they weren't through the play store and they had requested the use of my phone etc.

As soon as I noticed it acting weird I deleted all downloaded files etc. Backed up my media and did a factory reset.

The problem came back. It still isn't as bad but it's getting there.

Is there a file I've deleted or downloaded that's doing this to my phone? Avg and lookout think my phone is fine...

Is there something else I can do? I thought a factory reset would be the fix... Have I deleted an improtant system file during my quest to delete the thing causing me the problems?

Something to look for?

Thank you for any help. Losing my mind on this!

Logan.

If it's still crashing and generally misbehaving even after a factory reset. Could well be a problem with it, Sony service required. You haven't rooted or modified it have you?

Not at all... Really appreciate the reply. Are there any trouble shooting procedures I could do in the mean time or is the reset the be all and end all and the fact that it didn't work mean it's a hardware problem?

Hi! Ok so has anyone heard of having an international sim card or any sim card for that matter making a phone play up?

I had been in Europe while these things were happening to my phone. I didn't notice a direct relation to putting the Italian lyca sim in my phone because I had been downloading a whole bunch of crap too... Put my aussie sim in yesterday and now I've noticed the problem has gone...

Is this a thing?! If not, this is an additional trouble shooting step then I guess... Never saw anything online about it. Weird.

Thanks for the help everyone! I plan to scour these forums and try to return the favour the the droid community. Even if it is just a joke in the off topic threads haha.

Good that you've solved the issue.
