Help phone remains unlocked after BT call in car?

I just bought a new car with a bluetooth system. Works great with my phone with one exception. When I receive (and maybe make) a call via bluetooth using the car menu, the screen unlocks. This is a problem since the phone is in my pocket and then it's just pressing random buttons/actions until I stop and pull the phone out of my pocket.

Is there anyway I can stop the phone from automatically unlocking when connected to the car's bluetooth?

I put my car in my centre console. If I get a call, I swipe and it answers. When the person on the other end hangs up, the phone app closes and the phone goes back to a black screen.

If you root the phone there are other things you could change. But I can't think of any way you can get the phone in your pocket to answer calls without any action whatsoever....and without leaving the screen active in your pocket.

You could use the headphone cord (not bluetooth) and use the button on the headphone cord to answer calls.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I'll just have to take the phone out of my pocket every time I get in the car. Hmmmm....
