Phone screen creaking.

DesireMe

Took my phone out my pocket today (it's only a week old) and when i was typing and navigating, on both edges the screen made a creaking noise.

This is not acceptable, but before i call up, just wandered if anyone else had experienced it, or heard of it?

Never experienced it on my One X and never heard of it :)

But, as I know, screen and housing are a glueless snap-in ...

Only had it a week. It's stopped creaking (for now). But i've noticed that if you push on the edges, it does that thing distortion thing, like when pressing a LCD screen.

Think i'll trying to get this replaced. :(

Go in and get it replaced straight away!!,

mine did the same thing in the bottom right corner of the screen
it clicked in and out when you pressed it down and the screen distorted when it was pressed,
i thought it was nothing and just left it,

But then the screen started to get a discoloured patch in the same corner.
and by that time it was past the 31days so i had to send it off for 2 weeks to be repaired rather than getting it replaced,

the new fitted screen does not budge, creak or click and you cannot disort the display underneath no matter where or how hard i press
(obviously not pressing it stupidly hard :))

The creaking has stopped, but you can still get distortion around the corners, if you press it with decent pressure. Still call it in?

I would if i were you,

The woman in store said that the discolour on mine looked like a burn mark that the screen had left on the glass
tbh i dont think you should be able to get that distortion at all by pressing the glass.

In my case it helped that the woman in store actually had a One x her self and her screen didnt budge or distort in the slightest either so they could see it was a fault.

I'd be tempted to. You are with it for probably 2 years if on contract. I would want to be happy that all was fine.

Of course this may mean sending it back for a repair or replacement which could be a bit of a lottery in terms of time/ quality of repair.

I'll call them tomorrow and see what's gonna happen. I do like the phone, but things like that in a week of owning and but a dampner on.

That and i cannot hear the voice on google maps/navigation. I loved having a sat nav on my desire and used it a lot. Part of me wants me to get new one, it also be faulty and then demand a different phone. I don't want something sub-standard for 2 years!!

OT: But does anyone know how to make the voice navigation louder, or am i stuck with it?
