So I was switching my phone back to wcdma only instead of preferred again, using the *#*#4636#*#* screen and I think I accidently hit the button for "ciphering".
I can't be sure I did.
What is the default option for ciphering in this menu? I'm on ATT.

If you've got an att nexus one, please dial that sequence and go into phone settings, scroll down a bit, tell me what it displays for you next to ciphering, is it on or off? Going into this menu won't do anything, and as far as I know, everything on my phone works with the service enabled or disabled, I just can't be certain what it is SUPPOSED to be set at.
ATT has no idea.
