Help Phone shuts down requiring a battery pull

I bought a LG Optimus Elite at the Shack. Ran fine for a few days and then once a day it would automatically shut down even though battery power was available. To re-start the phone always required a battery pull.

Got fed up and wnt back to the Shack for an exchange (within 30 days). They gave me a very hard time about trying to do an exchange and said they had to talk to Virgin Mobile customer support. They said VM loaded a new software install on my phone and that should take care of the problem. I refused and said I was not leaving without a new Optimus Elite. They finally called the Store Manger at home who allowed for the exchange.

So guess what ? The second phone does the same thing. It has only happened once, but I am really puzzled on what the issue may be..any thoughts/ideas ?

:confused::rolleyes:

Just two theories;

1. VM screwed up on a batch of Elites, which you got two of that bad batch.
2. Your phone, when it sleeps, is going into a Power Collapse sleep. If this is the case it could be rectified with rooting and editing your system's build.prop to prevent a Power Collapse sleep mode/style.

Otherwise I have no idea.
