My phone shuts off randomly when I am playing power hungry apps like games for instance or watching a YouTube video but it does it an in instant on games. When I am on the internet it takes a bit but eventually will over time, if I am texting or just on the phone itself without running apps it will not turn off usually. When it turns off it acts as if the battery was pulled out and sometimes when I start it up it instantly turns off on the boot loader then I have to pull the battery out and reinsert it and sometimes it might be at the battery level it was at or be at 2 percent! Is my battery faulty or is it the phone itself?

Is it getting hot at all? Maybe its turning off as a result of over heating?
Try uninstalling recently installed apps, just in case it's an app issue. Or backup what you can and try a factory reset.
You could also try another battery, see if that makes a difference.
If you try all the above AMD it still reboots, it sounds more like a hardware issue with the phone.
