Help Phone soaked in salt water! dead forever?

I've just come back from jet skiing. The instructor told me to leave my stuff in the compartment in front of the jet ski. Pulled my bag out and the damn thing was wet. Tried tiring on my phone. No luck

just come back, tried to dry it out. Haven't attempted to turn it back on. I'd imagine the salt water has killed the phone?? Forever?

Any ideas what I can do??
 
Yep this works! Gave my toddler an old evo 3D he kept it up for a good 6 months until he had his aqua accident! Unfortunately I didn't realize it was fully submerged, as he was trying to hide it from me. I tried turning it on, got nothing did a battery pull SPLASH! I thought the thing was done for seeing that I tried powering it on. But I ended up sandwich bagging it in rice along with the battery also in a Ziploc, then placing the Ziploc in inside of a sealed glad lock container a week later (5 Days) it's back to normal! :)

& I THOUGHT THE Htc Evo 3d was a total loss!
 
I used the rice trick myself on my last phone but I used a bag of rice and sealed it so the only moisture for the rice to absorp was from the phone. Left it in for three days and it started right back up.
