Help Phone sounds and speakerphone working on enternal speakers, but music isn't?

I paused my music and unplugged my headphones and when I later decided to use my phone speakers to play music, its completely silent.

My phone ringtones and sounds are still working like normal, I've restarted my phone and I have checked all my music app,.

Is this common or do I need to go to my phone provider?

Assuming the music player app doesn't have an "internal speaker" setting of some kind, I'd at least bring it it, play dumb and ask if they can help me get my music back to my speakers.
