Phone Storage Moved to SD Card

As the title states, I am moving foles from my phone storage to my SD card (at least trying to). I have Astro File Manager but I am having difficulty locating the phone storage. Please assist. Thanks.

If the files are in /mnt/sdcard is that the phone storage or the sd card?

What files are you trying to move?

The answer to what /sdcard is depends on the phone. If you have an "external sd card" folder (maybe appearing as a subfolder of sdcard) then sdcard is probably built in storage. On my model it is the actual sd card.

So are you saying /mnt /sdcard is the actual SD card?

if the phone has an internal phone storage, its the phone storage. Not sure if you are on Gingerbread or ICS, but on GB its in mnt/sdcard/external sd, while for ICS its in mnt/sdcard/exStorages/sdcard

So /mnt/sdcard is the phone storage?

I do not have mnt/sdcard/exStorages/sdcard anywhere on my phone.

I have mnt/sdcard/external_sd and the only file that is there is LOST.DIR file.

So copy something from a computer to your sd card (use a card reader if you want to remove ambiguity) and if it appears in that directory then we have an answer

Not that easy.

So I thought if I set the phone camera to store pics in the phone storage and take a picture that I would be able to identify which is which, however that picture is showing up in both folders. UGH!

You took a picture and the file appeared in both mnt/sdcard and mnt/sdcard/external_sd? So in the latter directory there only exists two things (the pic and lost.dir)?
