Help phone stuck after update

hello,
I update my phone, I plugged the phone to the computer and updated it using Kies. after finishing I plugged out my phone as said there, and turn it on. when I turn it on there is a screen saying "Installing applications" and this screen is already on for hours... i can answer phone calls, sms, and enter task manger, and apps such as whatsup if some one msg me. altough I cant enter anything else and its stuck like this for hours...
I tried rest it, plug out the battery, every thing! still stuck... im not rooted or any of this.

Any one know what to do?

Try going into recovery and clear cache.
If you have the ability to do so, also try clearing dalvik cache too.

Not sure if it will fix it but it's definitely worth a shot.
