Help Phone stuck in recovery mode

Hi. I was on my phone the other day, in my notifications slidedown menu it said I had an update available. I tapped it, it rebooted the phone into recovery mode, then later it said there was an error is updating. I clicked reboot now but it opened the recovery menu again, with the text "no command" on the screen by the android guy with the triangle.
I have a htc desire 320. I've tried clearing cache, factory resetting, nothing happened. It seems it won't charge also. It hasn't died, but when I plug it in it shows the lightening sign with a red battery, what it does with less than 20%, but I left it for a long time and it hasn't changed. Thanks.

Were you rooted before trying to take/install the over-the-air update?

If not, it's certainly possible that your device simply ran out of battery power after trying to do the installation (hopefully it only got as far as the verification phase and wasn't actually in the installation phase).

Anyway, if you were not previously rooted, try leaving your device on your charger for a good, long while (12-24 hours) to see if you can get it charged again.

I have my daughter's old Nexus 5 that has a very touchy USB port and will not properly charge unless the cable is plugged-in just-so (it previously had water damage).
