Root Phone stuck on boot animation

My phone was out of power so it automatically turned off, and after that, I turned it back on and it told me it had 0% battery so it automatically started to turn off. It was taking too long, so I just pulled the battery. Now, it gets stuck on the boot animation every time I try to turn it on, even with about 10 percent battery. How can I fix this? I also noticed the red charging light goes off when I try to turn it on while charging, and before the HTC screen comes on, the red charging light flashes very lightly. Thanks for the help

I would recommend you plug it into the charger and let it completely charge first. Then try to turn it on, if it doesn't work, pull battery. Then try turning it on while holding down vol+power see if you can get into the bootloader. if you do, get to recovery, then wipe cache+dalvik. hope it works!

I'm actually still successful in getting into the recovery. It doesn't show the battery percentage like it should in TWRP 2, but I tried wiping the two caches, and nothing happened. I suppose I'll still have to charge it fully.

Edit: Thanks for the very quick response, LakersDroid

Also, is it possible to ruin a battery by rebooting the phone multiple times after it automatically turns off? Because I did that...

Yes, though unlikely.

Also, how does one reboot a phone that is not powered on? Are you a wizard?

Whenever I have bootloop problems I wipe everything but the SD Card, and restore my nandroid backup or install a fresh ROM.

Sometimes the recovery could be partially corrupted. I would recommend you reflash TWRP 2, then wipe everything except SD card, then install a fresh rom.

I ended up just flashing a backup, though I will rrflash the recovery later today to make sure everything is perfect now. And sorry for being unclear, what I had meant was that before trying to charge the phone I repeatedly rebooted it but then while charging, it would not turn on.

Using the guide for S-Off, I installed TWRP, and then I upgraded to TWRP 2 later on. I never tried 4EXT as I don't see anything that can be improved other than something like theming the recovery, which I couldn't care less about.

Oh, 4ext is ALOT more than theming ;) It's a way of life haha

It also has an app that you can get to do many things

for example, it makes or restores a backup then auto reboots. You're phone goes into recovery, does it's thing and is back to system without you realizing it.

Does the same thing for flashables too. A real time saver

So does my TWRP with Rom Toolbox Pro, not quite seamlessly, I'm ok without my phone doing things without my control :D

I used to have that same setup ;)

Roomtoolbox is free at least(not pro), you have to pay for 4ext control(less than 5 bucks) but I consider that a worthy donation :)

Been addicted to TWRP Touch since the beginning of my rooting days on the One V [only a few months and now im editing sense framework lol] and havent switched yet. I could give 4ext a try but with being S-Off theres no much reason to I suppose

We all have different tastes :) That's why we have options :)
