Help Phone thinks it's connected to the PC even though it's not...

Starting to get really frustrated with this phone.

Basically my phone thinks it's always connected to the USB. It will constantly make the connection sound even though it's nowhere near the PC.

I can't turn off USB debugging mode because it keeps giving me the message 'USB is connected. Remove the cable' even though it's not connected...

Also, when I turn the phone off, the battery charger image will appear, and then flash to another temperature image, as if my battery is hot or something?

This phone is only three weeks old... not happy jan

Something is in your USB port at the bottom. It will be a bit of dust or something. It uses resistance across pin4 and 5 to detect what it is connected to.

Give it a good blow or clean with a small brush. Nelveticus recommends a toothbrush.
