Phone turns off

I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2 from Bell Mobility and my phone suddenly turns off even with a full charge, I have to plug my phone in so it will turn on and the battery sometimes is totally drained. Is it time for a new battery? I bought the phone in March of 2012.
