Help Phone unlocks itself on wireless charger

I recently purchased a wireless charger for my S5, it works great, but my phone automatically unlocks itself while on the charger. I have day dream mode turned on, but if plugged in while its locked, day dream mode does not turn on, only when plugged in unlocked. But wirelessly, it automatically unlocks itself before going into day dream mode. Its not a big deal for me, but could see issues for others.
