Help Phone will not charge or usb connect!!

It had been working fine all day and now all of a sudden it will not charge. i have done nothing with the phone other than text and browse the net. it will not charge through the usb port of my pc either....WTF?

any suggestions?
 
Are you using the cable that came with the phone?

Have you tried any other cables?

Have you rebooted the phone?

i rebooted the phone 4 times. funny thing is when i powered it off once it showed me a white battery sign with a thunderbolt through it. i left it pluged in with the samsung charger it came with and nothing. my phone is dead. i tried 3 different cables i had which worked great with my OG DROID and nothing...i just may have to return this damn thing...UGH
 
i just finished restoring the phone to its original state and it charged for about 1 minute. then when i unplugged it and replugged it in it would not charge again.
 
My phone won't charge either! I wiggled the connector slightly and it would show a lightning bolt on the batter for about 20 milliseconds and then tell me my battery is low to connect my charger. I unplugged the wall charger, reconnected everything and still nothing. I'm currently charging from my computer usb and it seems to be working just fine. Faulty wall adapter?
 
Merged threads together, seems that maybe there were a few phones released with this issue. I would say just take them back to the store and get them replaced.
 
I had a cable that was came with a LG bluetooth headset. It would not charge mine. The cables from monoprice seem to be perfect.
 
I tried different cables and hooked up to the computer to different USB ports. I suspect its a battery issue.

The sucky thing is that it takes time to set this thing up with reinstalling apps from the market and I gotta do it all over again. Im considering just going to buy another battery and see if that solves the problem. Now I hope that bestbuy actually has the batteries.
 
I have the same issue. Im using the charger that came with the phone.

EDIT: Disregard that. Usb cable wasnt completely plugged into wall adapter :D
 
We have duds.....I think battery but you never know.

I just factory reset and I'm gonna exchange tomorrow and check it before I leave the store.

If I stay plugged in, it was stay on.

Makes you wonder if this was the reason that the phone was held up.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This is very weird.

Today all of a sudden, when i plug usb cord into my nexus, it won't charge at all.

I tried my old usb cords and adapters as well as combining all of them with the new ones that were given with the phone.

When i turn off the device and charge, the icon with thunder would appear first, then the white charging bar for few seconds and after that screen goes black.

It keeps doing that but doesn't really charge the phone.

Maybe it was my fault because i have a habit of taking out cords and plugs from the end not the front.

Although that shouldn't screw up my nexus... hope not.

Also, my nexus has never been at 0 battery since i got it, I kept on charging it.

Hope i gave a lot of informations.

Help would be appreciated.
 
Anyone with a solution? It would suck if my phone is defected..

P.S I tried battery pulling, it doesn't work. = [
I'm just gonna try to drain my battery and see if anything changes.
 
ok, so after a couple of days my phone now charges. it was charging from time to time and now it charges just fine. i have no idea what the issue was but i did a factory reset twice and pulled the battery at least 10 times. all of the a sudden this damn thing will charge right when i was about to exchange it.

it will now charge with any charger and will when connected to my pc. i freaking love this phone!!! i can finally enjoy it.

yeah. It seems like you gotta play around with the battery for awhile. I've drained the battery and now its starting to charge itself. I'll have to see if its gonna charge properly from now though. I'm gonna write my progress here in case some people are frustrated like me.
 
Mine charges no matter what cable or where I connect or plug it into, PC, care receiver, or wall charger.

What I have found is it needs a decent rate to charge while in navigation.

I just made a 500 mile trip and had it plugged into my vans Pioneer DEH- P5200HD receiver USB port and it was losing 2% an hour.

I then plugged it into an old Verizon brand coiled cigarette lighter plug and it was back at full charge in very short order.
 
The problem i'm having seems to be that the phone refuses to charge when around 80 percent. However, when the battery is lower like around 40 to 60 percent, it will charge FULLY up to 100 percent. Kind of weird isn't it? So in order for me to charge i need to purposely drain the battery and it will go up to 100 percent.. This could be some kind of a glitch in the software.
 
chiming in to say that i have the same issue. but the phone charges while off. when on i have no such luck.

This is the probelm im having. Plugged into laptop but as long as its on it shows slowly dischaging whether i use the nexus cable or my berry cable. Turn the screen off it will slowly charge.

If its plugged in shouldnt it be pulling power from the cable? Seems like i shouldat least be maintaing my battery at whatever % it was at when i plugged it in...if i am using it....no decreasing?

Im a droid newby so i have no idea what i should expect. But my berry did it that way?.
