Phone will only boot into TWRP recovery

OK, so I tried to install CM 12.1 after rooting and TWRP but got stuck into a bootloop, I think because I didn't unlock bootloader?
So I tried to restore with my backup, but TWRP didn't list it as an option even though I selected SD and had the SD with backup files in it. So, wiped the phone completely, flashed an unsigned copy of stock firmware, and after a bunch of attempts got it to flash the firmware, booted up signed into google, restored contacts, made a call, everything was good, until it gave me the option to update, unfortunately I did,

and something went wrong, so anyway, I wiped everyhthing again (no OS) and attempted to flash stock firmware like before, but when I go to reboot, it asks me to install SU, if I hit the button to decline it does nothing at all, if I swipe to install, it reboots and only boots back into TWRP,

so I wiped everything again, flashed unsigned stock firmware (I do still have original backup folder, but cant figure out how to get TWRP to see it) I installed a new SU zip, reboot, it still boots only to TWRP and wont let me opt out of installing SU. So I'm stuck here, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!!!

I didn't quite follow all your steps but the 2 things I'd try is to flash a stock based rom via twrp or if all else fails, flash a stock tot or kdz (if available) using LG Flash Tools. That'll get the phone back to complete stock including recovery. There's some threads to look at here:

If you have a Boost phone, your tot is posted there. You'll still need the .dll unless its included in the download.

I did flash a stock based ROM, however it will not boot into the ROM, it boots automatically into TWRP recovery.

Which partitions did you wipe in TWRP prior to flashing the ROM? And were there any errors when wiping or flashing?

Also, check XDA to see if a stable, custom kernel exists for your device. If so, try flashing that after the ROM as a last effort.

If all that fails, we'll have to try and locate a tot instead and reflash the phone with all the stock partitions.

One other thought, have you tried to get into download mode? If you haven't, try powering the phone off entirely. Once its off, then press and continue to hold the volume up button while at the same time plugging the phone into the PC via the USB cable. Let us know if that brings up download mode or not.

I went into advanced wipe and checked everything completely wiped everything. Funny thing is after i did that I was able to flash stock firmware and got it working. now whatever is wrong will not let me boot into anything but twrp. even if i just turn the phone on without holding volume down. and in twrp if i go into boot and select system, bootloader, anything, it always boots twrp. yes i doo have download mode!!!

Well that's a good thing. I would cut my losses and flash the tot in order to revert the device back to true stock. Depending on how old the firmware is, you can then ota your way forward.

All that relies upon this being the correct variant, hopefully you can confirm or deny that. I don't have enough knowledge about your device to know if there's multiple variants? Is there just one? Anyway, here's the thread I was hinting at earlier:
