Root Phone wont boot.HELP!

excision

Lurker
Hello everyone. I have an lg connect, i was wanting to downloading newer games on my phone which i couldnt get. So i decided to try and edit my build.prop(horrible mistake) and i copied the top row of a build.prop from a samsung GT-1900 and pasted it to mine. So i did a reboot and now it either gets stuck at the lg logo or it will go through the lg logo and then the screen will turn black(the phone is still on) and it will repeat over and over again. I have factory reseted, wiped EVERYTHING other than my sd card , no luck :( Please help. I would greatly appreciate it.

I can indeed go into cwm and download mode :)

If you have CWM, then were you smart enough to make a backup of your device using CWM? You need a backup for your device to restore via CWM.

In addition, I doubt the changes you made inside of the build.prop file was the culprit (though it can happen), but more so on whether or not you set the proper permissions to your build.prop file afterwards. Failing to set its proper permissions will guarantee you a boot problem everytime which will result to have to restore the system partition. However, in your case, you wiped everything, so you will most likely need to flash an entire backup for your device. Head over to XDA and see of you can find one to use assuming you do not have one yourself.
