Help Phone won't boot past Android screen

I have an Ascend that was running Icarus. I ran the upgrade provided by MetroPCS to 2.2 After which it would no longer boot. I initially waitedd around 30 min for upgrade before turning off the phone by removing the battery. On reboot it stated that the first stage was complete and after a bit moved to Android screen which it did not pass after about 20 min or so. I booted into fast boot and flashed to stock. The process completed, but the behavior has not changed. Is there anymore I can do?

did you backup any roms such as your icarus? if you did, then restore it and download playfulGod version of this update, its technoly the same but his is rooted and customized

This happened to me also. I had to take it to a corporate store. They told me it had happened before and they had to order a new phone for me. The problem was the Ascend updater I used.

I would suggest to have the store update, for the noobs like myself.

naaaa, it can be done new or not, but it depends on if your ascend is lazy or not, all ascend is different.
